Institute Director and Director of Lincoln's Inn Fields Laboratories

Richard Treisman has overall responsibility for Cancer Research UK London Research Institute's (LRI) research strategy, developed in consultation with the LRI Deputy Director, the LRI faculty and Cancer Research UK.

As well as day-to-day management of the Institute's Lincoln's Inn Fields laboratories, Dr Treisman is also Group Leader of the Transcription Laboratory.

Institute Deputy Director and Director of Clare Hall Laboratories

As well as being Deputy Director of the LRI, John Diffley is Director of the Institute's Clare Hall laboratories, where his Chromosome Replication Laboratory is situated.

He has primary responsibility for research strategy and recruitment at the Clare Hall laboratories, in keeping with the scientific strategy of the Institute.

Associate Director, Lincoln's Inn Fields Laboratories

Julian Downward oversees LRI research service provision and keeps abreast of emerging technologies, taking a view on whether to introduce them to the Institute.

He has overall responsibility for signal transduction studies at the Institute - Dr Downward's laboratory is at Lincoln's Inn Fields. He also deputises for the Lincoln's Inn Fields Director on a day-to-day basis as necessary.

Director of Operations

Ava Yeo takes care of day-to-day business at the LRI's two sites. She handles line-management of scientific and research support services as well as academic administration such as the various Institute administrative committees.

Dr Yeo also provides the principal operational link between LRI management and other Cancer Research UK departments, such as Finance and HR.
